I'm not sure why I purchased this book. I have read it once but my intent was to read it to my grandchildren but have yetto do so and I've had the book for over a year. It is very much like The Little Engine that Could. I like the book and it would be a good purchase for some one who needs a little encouragement that they can achieve what they put their mind to. Hey, maybe I liked it because I, too sometimes need this encouragement.

I highly recommend this book for children to help them develop a positive attitude and a plan for how to do it
This is a great book for children-inspiring and fun to read! All I can think of is that there are children who have low self esteem and this is a great way to teach them about determination and how your friends and family can help if things are tough. In a style that is at their level, so it doesn't look like mom or dad is telling them what to do!
I would categorize this book under "educational in disguise".
Most of the clients I see have poor self-esteem from can't do injunctions imprinted on their subconscious be well meaning but misguided parents, or worse by toxic parents. Helping children develop confidence in themselves is an essential part of healthy parenting. "The Can Do Duck" brings the message to very young children that "Whatever you Conceive, and Believe, you can Achieve".
